Dear Sunshiners,

I post here to bring you the sad news that Achill1es has passed away this morning.
As some of you might know he had diabeties and he most likely passed away due to that.

I know this because in my years in Lineage2 I've been in multiple clans with Achi and I also came to know his ex-Wife (Nicola, ingame Ephreyim) who I stayed in touch with ever since...

She asked me to let you guys know as, for him, his ingame friends were some of the closest friends he had.
I've also been asked to document any respectfull reactions to this news for memorial purposes.
As I am not a member of Sunshine I'd like to ask you to share this sad news troughout the clan and to screencapture any responses so I can pass them trough. It will be apreciated.

I wanted to share this ingame but not alot of people were on this morning so I thought this might be the quickest way...

We werent so close with Ach..( me and maryl0u , my wife)since we had a break from game, but he was a descent guy as far as we knew.

Hi everyone, this is Eph (Achi's ex-wife).

Firstly, thank you to Aga for posting here yesterday; I knew Achi still played L2 but didn't know what clan he was in or how to reach you guys (I don't have an account any longer).

Secondly, thank you to everyone who has posted up messages of condolence for him, I know he would be really touched and appreciate everyone's kind thoughts.  

If it is OK with you all, I'll print off the thread in a few days and send it to his son (who is in his 20's, and also a gamer, although more strategy stuff like CIV).  If there is anyone who doesn't want their message included, please let me know

This was a big shock! I and my wife Arwen known Achi, I dont know how long... 8 years back atleast. We have followed through many clan during those years. Me, Achill1es, Feinrul, Madlew and Janeway.

Achi and me didnt maybe get along very well since I left their CP a year ago but he is still one of my dearest friends in this game.

I know that Steve aka Achill1es was to hospital many times for the diabetes but I could never ever amagine it was this bad.

This was indead very very sad news, hard to get in, hard to accept. I will cherish the memory of him, tho I have many. My thoughts goes to his son and his closest family.

Achi, you will be missed!

Sad news indeed. Was worried something happend since we did not hear anything from him for the last few days.
He was always the first to say good morning to everyone on Viber and come with jokes, making ppl happy.

Over the years I have come to know Steve and consider him one of my best friends, both in game and outside game.
You will be dearly missed.

Wow, just shocking and sad news, something that I didn't believe at first.

As Feinrul said about Viber, he woke us up every morning for the last few years with a "Gm" and usually followed by a joke or funny picture, something that I will truly miss.

Was a great friend in game, never selfish, and always willing to help others but also gave good advise in real life, always made us laugh, with most topics usually ending up talking about "MJ's big ones!"

Take care buddy, we will miss you x

As Nicola wants to print this out I'll share a few words too...

I've known Achi for most of my LineageII days and without him I would have probably given up on this game many more times than I already have...
I owe this guy so many groups and alot of my levels pre-GoD, he took me under his wing to get me to 85/85/80/80 before GoD and those groups I will never forget.

Achi was funny, dedicated and social, he was a great asset to this game and he will shurely be missed by alot of people.

Aden has lost one of it's finest warriors.

We were shocked when we heard the news.
Have not played for a long time with him, but "back in the days" we always played together.
Always made jokes and invited people to his parties.

We even met in Sweden once, when we had a gathering at Poca's place.
He left this world way to young (Only 49 I believe).
We would like to wish strength to family and friends.
And Indeed, Aden has lost a fine warrior.

This is real shocking news :S I heard it yesterday and had tears in my eyes.

I remember playing on Devianne and Chronos, fight pvp with him and against him in different clans over the last years.
Never forget the fun we had together and have many good memories with him at Queen Ant...

I never met him in RL but he was like many other people in game close as well as people you know in RL.

My condolences to his family.

I did not expect this at all when I first opened up for viber this morning.

I have knowen achill1es a long time and also meet up whit him when we visit aura and poca in sweden and when I went to spain to see poca and aura in spain.

Achi u will be missed from the morning when we expect a GM on viber to the evening where we talk as we group in lineage. All though out your time in L2 u have helped alot of ppl and almost never asked much in return, this is what u where as a person.

My deepest condolences to your family, u shall for now and allways be missed.

I was so very sad when I read on a facebook post from Warn that achi had passed away.. So hoped it wasn't true I have known
achill1es warn janeway madlew and feinrul for sometime being in a CP (constant party) with them all. Achi was one of the most caring
funny guys I have known and am so thankful I was able to call him a friend. I will miss his GMs on Viber and all his funny jokes and
pictures he would post on there and I will miss him in TS and in game.

My deepest condolences to his son family and friends. He truly was a special person and will be deeply missed by us all <3
I am sending prayers and love to all for the strength to get thru this difficult time.

May you RIP my good friend and keep everyone smiling and laughing in Heaven.. <3

Me and Belen are very sad to hear of Steve's passing. I first met him in Lineage when he joined Imperial Knights. From that point on I got to know him as a warm and gentle soul who would help anyone where he could. I am also sad for all the people that are going to miss him, his family and friends. We've lost a friend, one that never asked for much, but was always there when you needed him.

Even though he didn't like to talk about it, I know he has been struggling with diabetes for a long time. It was a big weight he had to carry which he didn't want to share.

I will remember the times that we've been on holiday to Spain. He was both times one of the first to sign up for the holiday.

I wanted to add my own memories of Steve, mostly from irl as we only occasionally played in the same parties or clans in L2:

We first met when I was 15 years old, and he was 17 - I was helping a friend weeding her front garden (well, actually, we were in mini-skirts and doing more sunbathing than weeding, but still!), when Steve and his friend walked past on the street, stopped to chat... and the rest is history, as they say.

I remember the frustration of being young teens, trying to find time and space to be together.  I remember when I started my first job between school and University, working at a quarantine kennels & cattery about 20 miles from our parent's house - and him cycling out to see me every other weekend for 6 months.

I remember him always working hard & never complaining - Even one day when he came home from work tired and I handed him a screaming baby, at the end of my tether, and of course David promptly fell asleep on his knee and he couldn't move (not even to take off his backpack) for fear of waking him up again.

I remember him driving David up to London every weekend to see me, after we split up, for around 4 years until David was old enough to take the train.

I remember him coming over to stay every Christmas/New Year for a few days, joining in with silly board games and watching TV, right up until we moved across the pond to America two years ago.

We were together for 15 years, and he was always calm and there and just taking care of things, without demanding attention or making a big fuss about anything.  

Rest in peace Steve, lots of people called you a friend and will be missing you.
